Viking Bash Rules to Attend
Rules For Attendance: At the Viking Bash Parties we rotate through the best local pubs lodges and forest areas and each Bash is Unique. Please be “18 years old and Over Only!” due to the alcohol present at these parties! We do have family oriented Forest and Beach Viking Bashes on occasion, but a parent must take responsability for you in these cases.
We are Non-Judgemental and support all races and cultures who are interested in experiencing the Viking Moot or Party even if just for one night. We are quite certain you will want to come back and we make the fun you can not find elsewhere!
Notice: We do pre-screen all prospective atendees with a simple questionaire that also includes rules and behavior guidance so we can all safely have a geat experience while we party like Vikings in every detail.
The Invitation List is made in advance and we might not be able to accomodate all people if the group gets too large, For this reason we suggest you request an invitation early and if we cannot accomodate your spot at the next Bash we will try to offer you a spot at the next available Viking Bash!
VIKING CULTURAL IMMERSION
WHAT TO EXPECT
Party Like a Viking: As you may have heard Vikings were a large ethnic group that definetly knew how to throw a Bash or “Moot” which in english means “Thing” but in today’s meaning it means Party or Festival Event!
Viking Cultural Immersion: Though we love to party, we are also meeting to give honor to our beloved ancesters, and we start each Viking Bash with a brief but compelling Cultural Program the details of which appear below.
Viking Bash Leadership: Each Viking Bash is unique and origonal and each Viking Bash has an appointed JARL to act as the Master of Ceremonies along with the KONUNGR. This JARL male or female, is appointed in consideration of their dedication to the Bash and attendence at previous Viking Bashes, including exelemplary characture and good speaking skills within small groups.
JARLS Become Famous: To be named as JARL for the upcoming Viking Bash is a Great Honor!, and it is never forgotten by our Viking Family! The JARLS get the opportunity to be recorded in the Viking Great Hall of Heros, that the founder also has created. The link to the Viking Great Hall can be located at the bottom of this page and is a project to build us a Real Traditional Viking Great Hall in the future.

The Welcome To Good Friends!
At the beginning of the Viking Bash the appointed JARL will welcome one and all as well as give special thanks to vollunteers and frequent attendeers and Honor Them For Their Presence at the Bash. This includes pointing out Great Viking Garb of New and Returned Guests and getting some fun comments from attendees. This is 5-10 minutes.

The Reading of Poetic Eddas and Sagas
Each Bash will begin with a concise reading of a brief Poetic Edda and Also Sage Key sections and content chosen to be consistant with the Viking Wisdom of the evening. These can be humerous and tremendously wise knowlege lost in this age. This includes honoring the authors of this wisdom. This is 10-15 Minutes

The Raising of Drinking Horns
At this time the JARL will let all Bash atendees know it is time to fill their Horns with their preferred beverage both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are appropriate but it should be something you love as we prepare to give honor to our ancestors in Raising Our Horns and proclaiming our Honor to them and cheering "Skaal" as a group! This is 2-5 minutes.

The Proclamations of Honor
AS is Viking Tradition we never forget our ancestors nor do we believe they are dead or ghosts. This would be dis-honorable to these beloved Heros! In this tradition we go around the room to join in your proclamations of Honor to your dearest ancestors living and past on and drink of our horns for each proclamation. Pace yourself and sip with the drinks if alcoholic! You will feel an amazing bond as you proclaim your gratitude to these heros of old! This is 5-15 minutes.

The Recognition of Great Friends
After honoring our ancestors of greatness we will turn to the attendees and the JARL may recognise you for your presence and make some welcoming comments about the new Viking Family members in attendence. The JARL may make a few humerous statements and get you ready to have some fun Viking Style! Viking or not you will become family for a night or longer! The JARL may want to introduce you and let you say something positive if you like. You may be recognized by the JARL or KONUNGR. This is 5-10 minutes

The Viking Bash Social Festivities Begin !!
THe Viking Bash Social Festivities is really best designed as freelance socializing in smaller groups however you like. Enjoy tasty snacks order drinks mingle and socialize with fellow Bash attendees at your own pace. Make some new friends and rebond with friends from the last bash. While socializing be sure to descide who you want ot vote for to recieve the Nordic inspired Viking Prizes of the night. These are not terribly valuable prizes but they are of authentic nature and are intended to increase and improve your Viking Garb collection.

The Closing Gathering of The Bash or Moot
The JARL will call attendees back to a group or circle to chose the winners of the Best Garb awards and have a moment to again thank the ancestors for our existance support and the fun we have enjoyed in their honor. At this time we will have a few laughs together and make announcements for the next Bash location and theme as well as show appreciation for our new and old Viking Family. The JARL will offer a final Toast of their choosing and we will all raise our horns again to the blessing we have enjoyed! At this time you can stay longer or return home it is up to you but do be aware that you are protected in the company of Vikings untill they all leave.
